Highlights of ASSOCHAM Report on MBA employability.
1. B and C classified B-schools producing unemployable graduates.
2. Only 7% MBA pass-out students are employable from non-IIM B schools.
3. Most of the 5500 MBA colleges are producing substandard MBAs.
4. Students doing MBA from C and B category Business schools earn less than Rs 10000/ a month, if at all they find a job.
5. Voicing worry over the deterioration in the values of these B-schools. Many of which are not properly regulated, the study by the ASSOCHAM Education Committee (AEC) noted that only 7% of the graduates are truly employable in India, except for graduates from IIMs.
6. Whereas an atypical student spent nearly Rs 3 to Rs 5 lakh on a two-year MBA program. Their monthly salary is a measly Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
Placement Report of A-category Business Schools
Placement Report 2025 of all top Business Schools is out. IIFT, IIM Kozhikode, SPJIMR, Taxila Business School, Jaipur, and Great Lakes Chennai have been the front-runners in completing the placements for their PGDM/MBA programs. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta do not show their placement report before the IPRS Audit of Placements is over.

MBA Placement
Out of 21 IIMs, IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta though completed final placements in February/March. But they will circulate their placement report after the IPRS Audit in September. IIM Lucknow does not circulate the placement packages offered. The placements were first completed at many top MBA colleges like IIM Kozhikode, IIFT, SPJIMR, Taxila Business School, and IMI, among others.
